Chef on Duty
Pug Chef Paper Towel Holder
A pug in a chef's hat with a wooden spoon, keeping an eye on the counter. The roll drops onto the vertical rod from above, the wide base carries the weight of a full one, and rubber feet keep the whole thing planted while you tear a sheet off one-handed.
Fits your roll
- Rolls up to 11" / 28 cm tall and 5-1/2" / 14 cm across - standard rolls and most mega rolls
- The rod is 1-1/2" / 3.8 cm, so a standard cardboard core slides straight on
Stays where you put it
- Weighs 1.1 lb / 500 g, so a full roll does not tip it
- Rubber feet: it does not slide, and it does not scratch the counter
How it is made
- 17 separate parts in 6 colors, 22 hours of printing, assembled by hand
- PLA plastic, matte finish, no shine and no plastic smell
- Arrives fully assembled - unpack it, load a roll, done
A gift they almost certainly do not already own.

Up close
Three things you only notice up close
01 · The build
The roll drops on from the top - one-handed
A vertical rod with a rounded tip: the roll slides on smoothly, without tearing the sheets or sitting crooked. Tear off a towel with one hand and the holder stays exactly where you put it. The rod is 1-1/2" / 3.8 cm across and takes a roll up to 11" / 28 cm tall and 5-1/2" / 14 cm wide, which covers standard rolls and most mega rolls.
02 · The base
A 9-1/2 inch round base on rubber feet
The wide disc with turned rings around the rim spreads the weight of a full roll. Underneath, rubber feet keep the holder from sliding across the counter and help protect the surface from scratches.
03 · The character
Wrinkles, a red tongue and four jacket buttons
The folds of the muzzle, the dark mask, white teeth and red tongue are printed as separate colors and put together by hand. The chef's hat, the tied apron and the spoon are separate pieces too.

How it behaves in a real kitchen

Why no two are exactly alike
This holder is printed by me on a 3D printer from PLA plastic. Each piece is made with care, so the surface may show small marks typical of 3D printing. They are a natural part of the process and make every holder slightly one of a kind.
No dishwasher, no very hot water.
Care
Where to put it, and where not to
- Anywhere except a sunny windowsill PLA softens in direct sun, and an afternoon of full light every day will slowly pull the figure out of shape.
- Anywhere except right beside the stove Keep it clear of an oven vent, a hob and an air fryer exhaust - that jet of hot air on its own is enough to deform a print.
- Everywhere else on the counter is fine Dry cloth, damp cloth or a little dish soap, whatever it needs. Just not the dishwasher and not very hot water, for the same reason as the stove.
Questions
Before you order
Will my paper towel roll fit?
It takes a roll up to 11" / 28 cm tall and 5-1/2" / 14 cm across, which covers standard rolls and most mega rolls. The rod is 1-1/2" / 3.8 cm, so any core of 1-9/16" / 4 cm or wider slides straight on.
How do I clean it?
A dry cloth, a damp cloth or a little dish soap - all fine. Not the dishwasher and not very hot water: PLA softens with heat and the figure can lose its shape.
Can I get it in a different color?
The version you see here is the one I print. If you want a different color scheme, message me before you order and I will tell you what is possible.
Does it come assembled?
Yes. It arrives in one piece, ready for a roll.
When will it arrive, and where does it ship from?
It is printed for you after you order, and goes out from Richmond, British Columbia within 1-5 business days, tracked with Canada Post. Typical transit after that: 1-7 business days inside Canada, 4-7 to the United States, 6-14 elsewhere.
Will I pay customs or duty?
Inside Canada, no. In the United States duty and import tax are worked out and collected at checkout, so nothing is owed when the parcel arrives. Everywhere else, your own country's rules apply.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send me a photo within 14 days and I will sort it out - a replacement, a refund or a claim with the carrier, whichever fits. Full detail in the refund policy.
